Battle of the Legends: Curtis Mayfield vs Roger Troutman

Christmas is over, but the presents are still rolling in. Recently, I've come across two excellent mixes from two top shelf DJs that are basically like retrospectives of great artist's careers. First up is a live mix that DJ Sake1 did a while back of Curtis Mayfield, one of the legends in Doo-Wop and RnB music.

Second up is a perfect mix to be playing on New Year's Day, DJ Bcause's Playin' Kinda Ruff, a tribute to Zapp and the late Roger Troutman. As Bcause says, "Roger and Zapp have always inspired so many with their unique and pioneering brand of futuristic funk. You will hear most of the staples as well as plenty of lesser known rap choruses and interludes, and your usual assortment of blends and cuts that were probably over-scrutinized in the process of creation."
