HISTORY
In
the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to
celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for
Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved so
popular with consumers and especially Grateful Dead fans, that we made
it the label for our Maierbock ale. Even though the association with
the Grateful Dead band is pure coincidence, we have gratefully
dedicated Dead Guy Ale to the Rogue in each of us.
THE STAGE
To
bring you music on this special week will the be ever-so-talented and
diverse Andrew Page bringing with him a mixture of many musicians
playing Acid Jazz among other styles of eclectic musical delight.
Andrew
Page has been a resident of Taiwan for over two years now, working and
performing as the Music Director for the American Club in Taipei. A
former resident of New York City, Mr. Page has studied Classical Piano
under the tutelage of Dr. Donald Pirone and Gustavo Romero. His focus,
while at the University of North Texas, was on Jazz Studies, under the
instruction of greats Dan Haerle and Stephan Karlsson.
Wednesday Nights at Roots is FREE and starts at 10pm with the music lasting til about 2am.
